Bishop Raymond Chappetto - New York City Spiritual Leader

As Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus with the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York, Raymond Chappetto has a compassion-steeped relationship with faith. Having survived prostate cancer with the support of friends and family, he has a particular devotion to the 14th-century St. Peregrine, the patron saint of cancer patients. Valuing his power of intercession, Bishop Raymond Chappetto has celebrated a Mass of Healing at St. Joseph Church in Astoria alongside others who live with and have overcome cancer.

Bishop Chappetto’s experience spans leadership of parishes across Queens and Brooklyn, New York. In his former role as pastor of St Kevin's Church in Queens, he provided the Catholic community with spiritual and pastoral care, while overseeing facilities, finance, and administration. He successfully spearheaded a $3 million campaign that enabled interior and exterior church renovations and the restoration of school buildings.

Bishop Chappetto also has experience as the pastor of Our Lady of the Snows Church in Queens. In addition to overseeing liturgical celebrations, sacramental ministry, community outreach, and faith formation efforts, he supervised the raising of $7 million for the construction of a new church building.
